Ferst Readers of Morgan County is seeking volunteers to fulfill our mission, “to enhance school readiness and encourage a

life-long love of reading by means such as providing books to Morgan County children from birth to age five.”  Our primary initiative is to mail a free book, monthly, to all registered children in the county.  Volunteers support fundraising and registration of children for the book distribution program. Other literacy-based initiative may be developed, periodically, that require volunteer support.  

 

When you become a volunteer you automatically become a member of the Community Action Team (CAT).  The CAT meets quarterly to review current and future activities of the organization.  In addition to the quarterly CAT meeting, volunteers will recent information, by email, about activities

of the foundation throughout each quarter.
